Black Breath is a band from the Pacific Northwest who have quickly shredded their way to popularity. With members of Shook Ones, Go It Alone, Blue Monday, Get The Most, and On, they began in 2007 as crossover band with a joking spirit. In 2008, they released a 4-song 12" EP, Razor To Oblivion, which proved their step in a more serious direction, writing riffs that are reminiscent of first-wave thrash, black, and death metal bands such as Celtic Frost and Hellhammer, but maintain a traditional hardcore punk undertone.
Exalt are a Hardcore band from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Exalt seem to blend elements from each of their, very apparent, influences together in a manner that keeps things fresh and inspired. Breach False Minds is the full length debut that is hopefully a sign of good things to come.
Trash Talk is an American hardcore punk band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2005. They have toured all around the world including Japan, Australia, Europe, as well as performed in many festivals in support of their releases. If you have never heard Trash Talk before you seriously need this Ep.
I was going to write something for our readers about the new Living Eyes record, then I found this on DeathwishInc.com. Finally, I'm At Peace is the debut from New Hampshire's power violence maniacs Ultra/Negative. Ultra/Negative play fast angry loud hardcore, punk and even sometimes sludge influenced power violence. After hearing this release it was very hard to tell that U/N has only been around for 6months. Do yourself a favor, get into this.
This record is described better by the band's name than the record's title. This release has it all: creepy artwork, fast/angry music, and the sweet DIY feel that makes this record punk as fuck. Taking elements of staple thrashy bands combined with doomy riffs and chaotic structure that make Full Of Hell very hard to categorize. Angry, Epic, Chaotic...you choose an adjective. Perhaps "Awesome" works best.
