The Broderick - Illusion Over Despair (2008)

Another stellar band out of Australia. The Broderick seem to have a knack for combining elements from other really good hardcore bands and melding them into a style unique unto their own. Illusion Over Despair showcases their ability to combine talented songwriting, the capture of raw emotion and then turn it into a great record.

Trainwreck - Self Titled (2006)

Great debut from ex-EAVES and ENGRAVE members, which fits somewhere between both bands, but with a darker and heavier feel. Trainwreck jam pack every song with hate, angst and just plain old disgust. This is a great example on how to take several genres and blur them all together for something unique and fresh.

Ghostlimb - Self Titled (2006)

Ridiculously pissed hardcore with elements of melody, thrash, and general poor disposition, ghostlimb compile all the rage a minute long song can handle with sprinklings of social critique and dissatisfied sarcasm. This 11-song record clocks in under 15 minutes and is riddled with succinct aesthetics of the fast, heavy, and tolerably informed.

Finally!! After a lot of live appearances, touring all around Europe and two amazing split records with two other great Hardcore Bands from Germany, this is the latest release of this fresh and incredible German Hardcore Band. Expect a fast and brilliant emotional driving guitar sound with some hard hitting mosh elements and really pissed off angry vocals. This record is full off epic choruses, melodic hooks and passion.

No Way Out - Contempt (2008)

Lately there have been a ton of great new bands out of Australlia releasing really good records. Well No Way Out follow suit. Contempt is a great 7 song debut for a young band looking to put a dent in the Hardcore world. They draw from many influences but manage to keep things fresh and original.

Duck Duck Goose - Noise, Noise And More Noise (2007)

Duck Duck Goose was formed around the beginning of 06. It started off as being a complete joke and a way to blow time. But as im sure you can guess they found them selves knee deep and in love with what they were putting together. Drastic tempo shifts and time signature changes mixed in a nicely boiled broth of various styles of music. The boys strive on writing music that will be fun to them and for everyone else.

Lords - The House That Lords Built (2004)

From the rotten underbelly of Louisville, Kentucky, LORDS has risen. The blasphemous sound erupts from a frenzy of Gibson guitars, Marshall amps, and thunderous pawnshop liberated drums, piloted by four scruffy miscreants. Their songs barely last a minute and a half - rather than getting right to the point LORDS runs circles around it.

Violent Minds - We Are Nothing (2007)

Hot on the heels of the release of "Eyes Of Death," "We Are Nothing" is another representation of this band's raw, dirty street punk-influenced hardcore played with the same speed and ferocity as old bands like Lifes Blood or even the straightforward hardcore thrash of Poison Idea. CD version includes the "Just Kicked In" 7" as bonus tracks.

Mithras - Behind the Shadows Lie Madness (2007)

The first is Mithras from the United Kingdom. Behind the Shadows Lie Madness is great Brutal Death Metal, a new aspect to what Morbid Angel has created for this gerne.

Portal - Outre (2007)

After so many years of listening to extreme metal, it is a rare pleasure to hear something genuinely unsettling, just as Suffocation redefined brutality with Pierced From Within and Mayhem paralysed the listener with the pure malevolence of De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas back in the day. The latter pushed black metal in more bizarre and abstract directions earlier this year with Ordo ab Chao, and Portal seems to be doing something similar with Outre, their second full-length album.

Street Dogs - Fading American Dream (2006)

Bars - Introducing (2004)

Bars steps up to the plate with a non-stop, stripped-down, sonic onslaught. The debut is laden with a pissed-off rock n' roll swagger that is as pummeling as it is catchy. Regardless of perspective or expectations, Bars make rock n' roll, and make it explode. Formed in the summer of 2003, the Boston quintet pooled their influences and channeled them into a raw, focused outlet absent of gimmicks or facades.
